"Gem Mines" or "The Mines" (alternately "Gem mines" or "The mines")? The existence of both a Gem Mines article and a Gem Mines category shows that the names can be duplicated between them. So which to use? There's only one mine (so far), so the plural doesn't really fit.

The real question is how it's titled in the game, as that should supercede any style standards. But as a temporary solution, making all articles members of both categories is practical, as if one of them is correct it leaves only deconstructing the other. McClaw (talk) 19:38, April 25, 2015 (UTC)

Should the resulting category (whichever it ends up being) also be added to Category:Ponydale like the article Gem Mines is? Having one but not the other in the category feels inconsistent. Then again, neither Category:Sweet Apple Orchard nor Sweet Apple Orchard are in Category:Ponydale either. Suggestions? Silver Scroll (Calmevir) (talk) 21:37, April 25, 2015 (UTC)
You could check playthroughs of the game on YouTube to find out. Honestly, removing categories is a lot more trouble than creating them... ~Cyan Spark, 01:02, April 26, 2015 (UTC)
I would say whatever cagegory (and article) we use for the mine(s) should be included in the Ponydale category, as well as the orchard and the forest. All are accessed exclusively from the Ponydale environment, making them like the library, cafe, and botique in that respect.
And removing categories seems to be mostly a matter of removing all links to it (is there a "links here" function in Wikia?) combined with deleting the page. Give Wikia a chance to process the changes and it certainly appears gone. More work than adding, but that's not all bad. McClaw (talk) 01:43, April 26, 2015 (UTC)
"What links here" can be accessed via legendsofequestria.wikia.com/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/ followed by the name of the page you wish to inquire about, e.g. Category:The_Mines Silver Scroll (Calmevir) (talk) 17:48, April 26, 2015 (UTC)
