The Cockatrice is a chicken demon mob that can be found running around the Evershade Forest, The Heartlands, and Bramble Woods. These monsters are aggressive, usually attacking the player if they are within range. Cockatrices attack with a subtle magical attack that causes the player to glow yellow. Certain Cockatrices in the Evershade Forest can also attack the player with fire. Cockatrices often sprint after the player over extremely long distances to prolong combat and are able to fly for short distances. Players with low health and magic resistance should thus avoid Cockatrices entirely to avoid taking severe damage.
Cockatrices will not attack a player that is wearing a Chicken Suit, unless provoked by an attack from the player.

Groupings

The L32-35 group of Cockatrice, which drop Temporal Scraps as well as the Temporal Strap/Padding Weaving Guides, are hidden within the Evershade Forest. This group can be found by turning left at the starting area, going across the river via the constructed wooden rope bridge, then turning left to climb a large hill. The L32-35 groups will be on the right side of this hill. This hill, dubbed "Cockatrice Mountain", overlooks a large open valley which is home to a large group of Timberwolves.

A large group of Cockatrice that are various levels (between 15 and 28) can also be found within the Evershade Forest. Some of the Cockatrices in this group can attack the player with fire, which will inflict Burning status. This group can be found by turning left from once the player reaches the mushroom area from the entrance of the Evershade Forest, then proceeding forward a bit and looking to the left. These Cockatrices do not have any unique loot and can quickly overwhelm the player, so it is recommended to avoid fighting them.
